Prerequisite(s): None.
This course examines social welfare legislation and the policies, programs, and services that result from it. Students analyze social welfare policy within social, political, and global contexts, with attention to how values shape policy development and outcomes. U.S. and international perspectives on poverty, inequality, and social and economic justice are explored. Credit(s): 3
