Description

Prerequisite(s): CS 3810.
This course offers an immersive introduction to the foundational concepts and techniques of machine learning. Stemming from principles established in artificial intelligence, students will engage with both supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms. Topics will cover the basics of model selection, training, validation, performance metrics, and real-world application scenarios. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the algorithms, their applicability, and potential pitfalls, ensuring students are equipped to apply machine learning methodologies to complex problems in various domains.
