Description

Prerequisite(s): None.
This course examines the historical, philosophical, legal, and social foundations of education through a socio-cultural lens. In addition, students will explore the professional skills, competencies, and dispositions necessary to provide an effective and meaningful education to a diverse student body. This course emphasizes the research and study of these principles as they relate to modern trends and issues in Pre-K-12 educational environments. Credit(s): 3
