Description

Prerequisite(s): SM 1400.
This course offers a unique perspective of the business of American sport from the mid-1800's through today, by exposing students to specific managerial challenges and issues that have faced and will continue to impact the sport industry. Assigned readings of historical events along with current developments in the sports-business industry will be examined. Commercialization of both private and public sport will be explored.
