Description

Prerequisite(s): PSY 1700; MA 2025 with a grade of C- or higher.
This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the principles, methods, and statistical techniques used in psychological research. Students will explore various methods for conducting psychological research, including qualitative and quantitative approaches. Emphasis will be placed on applying the scientific method to design robust psychological studies. Through critical evaluation of research methods, students will learn to assess the validity and reliability of different research designs. By the end of the course, students will develop a mini-research proposal, demonstrating their ability to integrate research methods and statistical analysis in a coherent study design. Credit(s): 3
